I'm a realtor first. That's what I do.
But along the way, I also started building houses and investing in real estate. And honestly, I think that's where things get interesting.
Because I don't just look at a house and see countertops, paint colors, and a nice listing photo. I see the roof. The foundation. The floor plan. The lot. The potential.
I think about what it would cost to fix, what it could be worth when you're done, and whether or not an upgrade is a good investment.
Sometimes it is.
Sometimes it's a terrible idea.
I'll tell you which one I think it is.
I've bought and sold investment properties. I've bought dirt and turned it into houses. I've worked through the construction, dealt with the inevitable problems, and eventually handed the keys to someone who gets to call the place home.
I've also spent years helping buyers and sellers navigate inspections, appraisals, negotiations, contracts, deadlines, and all the other fun stuff.
All of that has given me a pretty practical view of real estate.
I understand it as a home.
I understand it as an investment.
And I understand it as a physical asset that has to actually work in the real world.
That's the advantage I bring to my clients.
I believe the best real estate relationships are built on trust, and that starts with being straight with people.
My job isn't to tell you what you want to hear. It's to give you an honest assessment of the property, the numbers, the market, and the options in front of you — and then help you make the decision that's right for you.
If I think you should buy it, I'll tell you.
If I think you're overpaying, I'll tell you.
If I think that $50,000 kitchen remodel is going to get you $20,000 back, I'll tell you to save your money.
If there's a better way to structure a deal, we'll find it.
Sometimes the smartest move is knowing when to negotiate harder, when to change course, or when to simply say, "This isn't the one."
That's what I think good representation looks like.
That's what Hobbs Homes is about.
I'm a realtor who understands construction. A builder who understands the real estate market. And an investor who understands that ROI matters.
But I'm also a husband, a dad, a former college football player, and a guy who has spent a lot of time figuring out how to make things work.
I'm competitive. I'm direct. I'm probably going to ask a lot of questions. And I'm not going to pretend I know everything — because I don't.
What I do know is real estate, and I know how to surround myself with good people when something falls outside my lane.
At the end of the day, I don't think my job is to sell you a house. My job is to help you make a really good decision about real estate.
Maybe that's buying a house. Maybe it's selling one. Maybe it's buying a piece of dirt and building exactly what you want. Maybe it's an investment that helps you build some wealth.
And sometimes, the best move is doing absolutely nothing.
Whatever it is, I'll give you my honest opinion, tell you what I see, and help you figure out the next move.
No BS. No pressure. No sales pitch.
Just good real estate advice from someone who understands what happens after the sign goes in the yard.
